Got a l’il eye surgery on Friday morning bright and early to try and offer a more permanent treatment for my pars planitis – cryotherapy(freezing the lower part of my eye) and a kenalog injection. The procedure only lasted about 20 minutes and I don’t remember a thing
There has been minimal pain, a dull achey pressure if anything. Jason has been extremely helpful but unfortunately has to go back to work for a 12 hour day today!
Sleep was fleeting last night, I can only sleep on one side, and it’s not my preferred side, or my back which just isn’t comfortable for anyone unless you’re a vampire- jk. All this was made even more difficult by Jason’s snoring all night. He usually sleeps on his side too, but maybe out of unconcious support for me, he kept rolling onto his back.
Today I get to change my patch, and I hope it’s not too scary under there- though to be honest I’m afraid to look. I think I remember something while still pretty foggy about an incision? We’ll see I guess…
